18.5 Sound Effect (DNN990HD)

You can set sound effects.

  1. Touch [Sound Effect].

    Sound Effect screen appears.

Space Enhancer

  1. Touch [Space Enhancer] in the Sound Effect screen.

    Space Enhancer screen appears.

  2. Touch [Small], [Large], or [OFF].

    3. Each setting value indicates the soundscape level.

NOTE

  • This setting is not available during HD Radio tuner source.

Highway sound setting

You can boost a certain range of sound that becomes hard to hear due to road noise.

  1. Touch [Highway Sound] in the Sound Effect screen.

    2. Highway Sound screen appears.

  2. Select the boost level from among [High], [Low], and [OFF].

Elevation

You can raise the sound position heard from the speakers virtually.

  1. Touch [Elevation] in the Sound Effect screen.

    Elevation screen appears.

  2. Select Elevation level from [High], [Low], and [OFF].

Realizer and Supreme

You can restore the sound lost due to audio compression to a realistic sound.

  1. Touch the screen in the Sound Effect screen.

Realizer

Realizer is sound enhancement and boosting low frequencies (bass boost).

Select the level from “OFF”/ “Level1”/ “Level2”/ “Level3”.

Supreme

Turns ON/OFF the Supreme function.

Technology to extrapolate and supplement with proprietary algorithm, the high-frequency range that is cut off when encoding.

This function works on DVD MEDIA, USB, SD and iPod sources.
