Functions of the Remote Control Buttons

Switching the operation mode

The functions operated from the remote control differ depending on the position of the mode switch.

AUD mode

Switch to this mode when controlling a selected source or tuner source, etc.

DVD mode

Switch to this mode when playing a disc media including DVD, VCD, and CD.

NAV mode

Switch to this mode when controlling navigation function.

NOTE

  • When controlling a player that is not integrated in the unit, select “AUD” mode.

Direct search mode

Using the remote control, you can jump directly to the desired file, track chapter, etc. with entering the number corresponding to the content.

NOTE

  • This operation cannot be performed for USB device and iPod.
  1. 1 Press the <#BS> button several times until the desired content appears.

The available contents are different depending on the source.

  1. 2 Enter the number of the content you want to play using the numeric keypad.
  2. 3 For DVD or VCD, press the <POSITION> button.
    For music CD or audio files, press the <POSITION> button.
    For radio, press the <C> or <D> button.

The content you entered is played.

Stops playing and memorizes the last point where the disc stopped. The last point is deleted by pressing twice.

Zooms in or out the navigation map.

POSITION

AUD, DVD

Pauses the track or file, and resumes playing by pressing twice.
During Radio, HD Radio, and SiriusXM source in AUD mode, switches the seek mode.

Displays the current position.

Cursor Key

DVD

Moves the cursor in the DVD menu.

NAV

Moves the cursor or scrolls the map.

ENTER

DVD

Performs the selected function.

  • Registers the selected position.
  • Performs the selected function.

AUD

Screen mode changes each time you press this key during video playback.

DVD

Returns to the DVD top menu.

NAV

Displays Route Option menu.

VOICE

AUD

Switches navigation display on/off.

DVD

Displays the DVD menu.
Turns the playback control on or off while playing VCD.

NAV

Speaks the voice guidance.

VIEW

AUD, DVD

Switches the AV source to be output.

Switches between 2D and 3D map displays.

MAP DIR

AUD, DVD

Switches the display angle each time it is pressed.

NAV

Switches between the heading up navigation and north up navigation map displays.

AUD, DVD

Selects the folder to be played.
During Radio, HD Radio, and SiriusXM source in AUD mode, switches the bands to be received.

C/D

AUD, DVD

Selects the track or file to be played.
During Radio, HD Radio, and SiriusXM source in AUD mode, switches to broadcast stations received by the unit.

Numeric Keypad

AUD

Specifies the number to search in direct search.
For details on the direct search mode, see Direct search mode.

DVD

  • Press [1] [2] to fast forward/backward. Switches the fast forward/backward speed each time you press this key.*
  • Press [4] [5] to slow forward/backward. Switches the slow playback speed each time you press this key.*

Adjusts the volume.

Switches the zoom ratio (1, 2, 3, Off) each time you press this key.

AUD, DVD

Switches the Dual Zone function on and off.

R.VOL 32

Adjusts volume at rear when the Dual Zone function is on.

ATT

Lowers the volume by pressing the key once.
Restores the previous volume by pressing the key twice.
