System Setup

NOTE

  • Each operation in this section can be started from the multi function menu.
  1. 1 Touch [ ] on any screen.

Quick Menu screen appears.

  1. 2 Touch [SETUP].
  2. 3 Touch [System].

System screen appears.

See the following section for each setting.

User interface

You can setup user interface parameters.

  1. 1 Touch [User Interface] in the list.

User Interface screen appears.

  1. 2 Set each item as follows.

Beep

Turns the key touch tone on or off.
Default is “ON”.

Language

Select the language used for the control screen and setting items. See Language setup.

Text Scroll

Allows scrolling of text display on the source control screen. Select from “Auto”/”Once”/”OFF”.

Auto (Default): Scrolls the text automatically.

Once: Allows you to scroll the text only once automatically when updated.

OFF: Does not scroll the text automatically.

NAV Key Longer than 1 Second

You can set the operation performed when the NAV key is pressed for 1 second. Select from ”V.OFF”/”CAM”.

V.OFF: Turn the display off.

CAM (Default): Switches to the front or rear view camera video display.*

Secondary

Set whether to display the navigation information in the audio screen or vice versa. Default is “ON”.

DEMO

Set the demonstration mode. Default is “ON”.

* When you set [Front Camera] to OFF, the display will change to the rear view camera and when you set it to “CMOS-3xx”/ “Other”, the display will change to the front view camera. See Camera Setup

Language setup

  1. 1 Touch [SET] of [Language] in the User Interface screen.

Language Setting screen appears.

  1. 2 Set each item as follows.

GUI Language Select

Select the language used for the GUI and input methods.

ASR (DNN991HD)

Select the language used for voice control function.

Navigation Language Select

Select the language used for navigation.

STT

Select the language used for Speech to Text (STT).

TTS

Select the language used for Text to Speech (TTS).

  1. 3 Touch [Enter].

NOTE

  • To cancel the language setup, touch [Cancel].

Security setup

A red indicator will blink on the unit after the ACC is set to OFF, warning potential thieves.

If turned to “ON” (default), the security indicator on the front panel flashes when the vehicle ignition is off.

  1. 1 Touch [Security] in the System Menu screen.

Security screen appears.

  1. 2 Touch [ON] or [OFF] of [SI].

EXT SW setup

Set up the external switch power mode.

  1. 1 Touch [EXT SW] in the System Menu screen.

EXT SW screen appears.

  1. 2 Set each item as follows.

Output Pattern

Set the power signal output mode among “Pulse”/“Level”. Default is “Pulse”.

You can set to turn output on/off each time the button on the EXT SW screen is touched. See External Device Control.

Pulse Set

Set the pulse signal output time.

Outputs 500ms when “1” is set.

Increases by 200ms with each step. Up to 100 steps can be set.

NOTE

  • You can enter characters only after you have applied the parking brake.
  • “Pulse”: Generates a single power signal pulse.
  • “Level”: Continues output of high power signal.

Setup memory

Audio Control, AV-IN SETUP, Camera, and Audio SETUP settings can be memorized. The memorized settings can be recalled at any time. For example, even when the settings are cleared due to replacement of the battery, the settings can be restored.

  1. 1 Touch [SETUP Memory] in the System Menu screen.

SETUP Memory screen appears.

  1. 2 Follow the instruction on the screen.

[Lock] / [Unlock]*

Locks or unlocks the AV-IN SETUP, and Audio SETUP settings.

Yes

Memorizes or recalls the settings.

No

Cancels the function or memorization.

The SETUP Menu screen appears again.

* When [Lock] is selected, you cannot change the AV-IN SETUP, and Audio SETUP settings.
Also, the locked key mark is displayed under each setting icon in the setup menu.

  1. 3 Follow the instruction on the screen.

Recall

Recalls the memorized settings.

Memory

Memorizes the current settings.

Clear

Clears the currently memorized settings.

Cancel

Cancels memorization/recalling of settings.
