11-4. Activating Security Code

When Security Code is set, possibility of theft is reduced because input of Security Code is prompted to turn on the unit once it is turned off.

Security Code notes

• You can set the Security Code with a 4 digit number of your choice.
• The Security Code cannot be displayed or referenced. Make a note of the Security Code and treasure it up.

1. Select the Standby source.

   Refer to <Source selection>.

2. Press and hold the [AUDIO] button.

   Enter the Function setting mode.

3. Use the [Control knob] to select "INITIAL SET" > "SECURITY SET".

   For how to use the [Control knob], refer to <3-3. How to select the item>.

4. Press and hold the [Control knob].

   Enter the Security Code mode.

   When "ENTER" appears, "CODE" is also displayed.

5. Press the [E] or [F] button to select a digit to enter.
6. Turn the [Control knob] to Select the Security Code numbers.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6, and complete the Security Code.
8. Check the Security Code and press and hold the[Control knob].

   When "RE-ENTER" appears, "CODE" is also displayed.

9. Do the step 5 through 8 operation, and reenter the Security Code.

   "APPROVED" appears.
   The Security Code function activates.

Exit the Function setting mode.

Press and hold the [6] button.

Resetting the Security Code function when the audio unit is first used after removed from the battery power source or the Reset button is pressed.

1. Press the [SRC] button to turn the power ON.
2. Do the step 5 through 8 operation, and enter the Security Code.

   "APPROVED" appears.

   Now, you can use the unit.
