6.2 Start listening

Android

Preparation :

• You need to register your smartphone before using it with this unit. See <12.2 Registering a Bluetooth device>.
• Disconnect the iPhone or iPod touch.
• Make sure "ON" is selected for "IHEARTRADIO SRC". <6.7 iHeartRadio source control>

1. Open the iHeart Link application on your smartphone.
2. Press [8SRC] to select IHEARTRADIO.

   

   (a) Connection through Bluetooth

   (b) Android smartphone (commercially available)

   • Speakers are selectable by the Bluetooth setting "BT HF/AUDIO". The default is the front speakers. See <BT HF/AUDIO>.

iPhone or iPod touch

Preparation :

• Make sure "ON" is selected for "IHEARTRADIO SRC". <6.7 iHeartRadio source control>

1. Open the iHeart Link application on your smartphone.
2. Open the cover.
3. Connect an iPhone to the USB terminal.
4. Press [8SRC] to select IHEARTRADIO.

   

   (a) KCA-iP102 (optional accessory)

   (b) iPhone or iPod touch (commercially available)

Removing the iPhone

1. Press [8SRC] to select a source other than "PANDORA", "AHA", "IHEATRADIO" or "iPod".
2. Remove the iPhone.

Error messages

• IHEARTLINK UPDATE REQUIRED.: The iHeart Link application is an older version which the unit can not support. Confirm that the iHeart Link application is the latest version.
• NOT CONNECTED: Link to the application is impossible.
• DISCONNECTED: Check the connection to the device.
