Settings

(FM only)

RDS transmits data to the radio which displays information such as name station, song artist, and song title. RDS service availability varies with areas.

  1. Touch .
  2. Touch [Settings] on the pop up menu.
  3. Set each function as follows.

[RDS]

Switch RDS to ON or OFF. Default is “ON”. When the RDS function is turned off, [TI], [AF], [REG], [RT] are closed and cannot be clicked.

[TI]

You can listen to and watch traffic information automatically when a traffic bulletin starts. However, this feature requires a Radio Data System that includes TI information.

[AF]

When station reception is poor, automatically switches to the station that is broadcasting the same program over the same Radio Data System network.

[REG]

Sets whether to switch to the station only in the specific region using the “AF” control.

[RT]

When the RT function is turned on, Radio Text informations are being received.

[MONO]

Switch MONO to ON or OFF. When turned on, forcibly switches to mono when the stereo signal of the radio station is weak.

  1. The MONO switch is a non RDS function and can be used normally when RDS is turned off.

[Local]

The function may not be available due to local reasons.

  1. ON: Lower detection sensitivity and detect stations at frequencies with better signal strength.
  2. OFF: Standard detection level.
