Connection & AV Setup

You can set connection and AV parameters.

  1. DMX9724XDS
    Press the HOME button.
    DAX8000XDS
    Touch at the top of the screen.
    Touch HOME on the popup menu.
  2. HOME screen appears.
  3. Touch .
  4. Touch [SETUP].
  5. SETUP Menu screen appears.
  6. Touch [Connection & AV].
  7. Connection & AV setting menu appears.
  8. Set each parameter as follows.

[Bluetooth]

Turns the Bluetooth function on or off.

[Device List]

Select the connected device to be used. Switch the connected device

[Device Name]

If you select [ON] for [Bluetooth], you can change the Bluetooth device name. See Change the device name.

[PIN Code]

If you select [ON] for [Bluetooth], you can change the PIN code.

[Device address]

Display the Bluetooth device address.

[TEL SETUP]

You can make various settings for the Hands-Free function.

[Wireless Mirroring SSID]

You can change the SSID. See Change the device name or Wireless Mirroring SSID.

[Android Auto Auto Launch]

Select whether to display the Android Auto screen automatically. Default is "ON".

[Guidance/Voice Recognition Volume]

Adjust the volume of the guidance and voice recognition in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto mode. Default is "19".

[Incoming Call Volume (Ring)]

Adjust the ring tone volume in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto mode. Default is "15".

[In Call Volume (Talking)]

Adjust the dial tone volume and the volume during a call in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto mode. Default is "15".

[Speech Quality Adjust]

Adjust the speech quality.

  1. [Microphone Level] : Adjust the level of microphone gain. Default is “0”.
  2. [Echo Cancel Level] : Adjust the level of echo cancellation. Default is “0”.
  3. [Noise Reduction Level] : Reduce the noise generated in the surrounding environment without changing the microphone volume. Use this function when the voice of caller is not clear. Default is “0”.
  4. [Time Alignment] :
  5. Application Version: 1.3.0006.3200 or later
  6. If a echo generates on the other side of a Hands-Free call (echo cancellation does not work), adjust the sound delay time.
  7. When the [Fiber Optic Output] is set to 48 kHz or 96 kHz, the default is "20".
  8. When the [Fiber Optic Output] is set to OFF, the default is "0".
  9. Application Version: 1.2.0006.3200 or earlier
  10. If the delay in the digital sound output is disrupting the Echo Canceling of hands-free sound, adjust the sound delay time. Default is “20”.
  11. This can be adjusted when the digital sound output settings are on.

[iPhone Bluetooth Connection]

[Reverse with ATT]

Select whether to decrease the audio volume automatically when the gear is shifted to the reverse (R) position. Default is "ON".

[Reset Android Auto Wireless Connection]

Regenerate a Pre-shared Key (PSK) to connect wirelessly with Android Auto. A confirmation dialog will appear because the system needs to restart to regenerate a PSK.

[Built-In Amplifier]

Select whether to use the built-in power amplifier.

Turning off the built-in amplifier improves the quality of the sound from Preout.
